Drug Addiction Recovery
Drug addiction affects far more than the body. It impacts mental health, relationships, finances, employment, self-esteem, and spiritual wellbeing. At Deep Roots Wellness Centre, we understand that addiction is not simply a lack of willpower but a complex condition that requires structured support, accountability, and personal growth.

Our Drug Addiction Recovery Program is designed to help individuals break free from active addiction while addressing the underlying causes that contribute to substance abuse. Through the proven 12-Step recovery model, mentorship, group support, life skills development, and daily recovery practices, clients begin building a new foundation for lasting sobriety.
What Is Addiction?
Addiction is a chronic condition that affects the body, mind, emotions, and spirit. While many people see addiction as simply excessive drug or alcohol use, it is often a symptom of deeper struggles including trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, low self-worth, and unhealthy coping mechanisms.
At Deep Roots Wellness Centre, we help clients understand addiction as a disease that can be treated and managed through honesty, support, personal responsibility, and ongoing recovery work. Our goal is not only to help individuals stop using substances but to help them build meaningful, purpose-driven lives in recovery.
Our Treatment System
Our programme combines the proven principles of the 12-Step recovery model with practical life skills, personal mentoring, group support, and structured daily routines. Every client receives guidance and encouragement while learning how to take responsibility for their own recovery journey.
Our treatment philosophy focuses on:
- Physical stabilisation and recovery
- Emotional healing and self-awareness
- Spiritual growth and purpose
- Personal accountability
- Healthy coping mechanisms
- Relationship restoration
- Long-term relapse prevention
- Reintegration into everyday life
Recovery is not about perfection. It is about progress, growth, and learning how to live life on life’s terms without the need for drugs or alcohol.
Rehabilitation Process.
Assessment & Admission
We begin by understanding the individual’s history, current circumstances, addiction patterns, and recovery needs. This helps us create the most appropriate recovery pathway.
Detox & Stabilization
Where necessary, clients are supported through the early stages of recovery while their bodies adjust to life without substances. This stage focuses on safety, structure, and stability.
Recovery Education & Self-Discovery
Clients begin learning about addiction, recovery principles, emotional triggers, behavioural patterns, and the underlying causes of their substance use.
12-Step Recovery & Personal Growth
Participants work through the principles of the 12 Steps while developing honesty, accountability, self-awareness, and healthy coping strategies.
Reintegration & Ongoing Recovery
As clients progress, attention shifts toward rebuilding relationships, setting goals, developing life skills, and creating a sustainable recovery plan for the future.
The Stages of Recovery
Recovery is a process rather than a single event. Most individuals move through several stages of change as they progress toward lasting sobriety.
Precontemplation
The individual may not yet recognise the extent of the problem or the need for change.
Contemplation
Awareness begins to grow, and the person starts considering recovery as a possibility.
Preparation
Plans are made to seek help, enter treatment, and begin making positive changes.
Action
The individual actively participates in recovery, develops new habits, and works toward personal growth.
Maintenance
Recovery becomes a way of life as healthy routines, accountability, and ongoing support help sustain long-term sobriety.
At Deep Roots Wellness Centre, we guide individuals through each of these stages while providing the tools, support, and encouragement needed to achieve lasting recovery.
